The Challenge

A freshman Florida House representative was heading into their first committee week with zero social media presence. Their office had no branded templates, no content plan, and no strategy for communicating the upcoming schedule to constituents. Engagement on their existing posts averaged fewer than 15 interactions per post.

Our Approach

We designed a complete 7-day content series built around the committee schedule, creating a consistent visual system that made complex legislative information feel accessible and shareable. Each day had a morning preview post and an evening recap, plus stories content throughout the day.

Day 1

Week Preview & Schedule Drop

A branded carousel post breaking down every committee meeting for the week, color-coded by topic area. Set the tone for the entire series and gave constituents a reason to follow along.

Day 2–5

Daily Schedule + Evening Recaps

Each morning: a clean graphic showing that day's committee agenda. Each evening: a recap thread summarizing key takeaways, votes, and notable moments — written in plain language constituents could actually understand.

Day 6

Highlight Reel & Key Votes

A curated roundup of the week's most important moments, including bills that advanced, amendments adopted, and notable testimony. Designed for maximum shareability.

Day 7

Looking Ahead + Community Q&A

A forward-looking post previewing what's next in the legislative process, paired with an Instagram Stories Q&A session that drove direct constituent engagement.

The Results

The series transformed the office's digital presence overnight. The committee week schedule post alone reached 4,200 people — more than their previous 20 posts combined. By the end of the week, the account had gained 380 new followers and established a content cadence that constituents began to expect and look forward to.

"Press On Canva transformed how our office communicates. Our constituents actually look forward to our committee week posts — engagement is up 400% since we started."

— Rep. Maria Torres, Florida House, District 47
